Subject: Works fine with VLC, but problems with Quicktime
Prospective downloaders beware: Quicktime (version 7.6.8.1675 for Windows) won't play the file at all (it just displays the message 'Error -2041: an invalid sample description was found in the movie' and exits). However, VLC Media Player plays it fine, and without any of the sound issues mentioned by other reviewers.

There is also an another print on the archive, this time as a 717MB DivX AVI, with a similar print quality.

This is a well-done movie with a good cast, but film noir lovers should be warned that it is more a romantic comedy than anything else, in spite of its presence in the Film Noir collection.

Subject: Borderline (1950)
The version supplied on the site has non functional audio. To bad even though Fred and Claire don't really click its a good movie if somebody would put one up that works. When I went to play it the audio just chirps, BUMMER! Low rating only because it doesn't work.

Subject: Sound is messed up
The video seems fine, but the sound(audio) is completely screwed up. it's not worth the time to download or even attempt watching. Needs fixed 40 different kind of ways.

Subject: Interesting storyline
The fine 1950 cast includes Fred MacMurray, Claire Trevor, Raymond Burr, José Torvay, Roy Roberts, Nacho Galindo, Jack Elam, Charles Lane, Morris Ankrum, Clifton Young, Don Diamond, Ralph Brooks, Paul Fierro, Gregg Martell, John Indrisano, Alden 'Stephen' Chase, Pepe Hern, Grazia Narciso, Chris-Pin Martin, Howard Negley, Richard Irving & others are in this Film Noir, often times funny crime drama which takes place mostly south-of-the-border (Mexico).

The film is about low life American gangsters attempting to smuggle dope across the American 'borderline' and two undercover American police agents sent to Mexico to infiltrate the drug trafficking mob, but do not know each other is an undercover cop.

There is also various great footage of 1940s era automobiles.

Subject: Can't view 'em
I can't view either version. I usually get the ogg files because of limited bandwidth. If anybody would put one up, I'd appreciate it.

I just downloaded the (484 MB)file again and it still doesn't work. Guess I'll have to try the other file and see what happens.

Subject: Enjoyable
I enjoyed this well-made romantic comedy. Fred MacMurray and Claire Trevor really don't click on screen, though. The story is not dumbed down, which is refreshing. The MPEG-4 file isn't high quality and I hope a better copy is uploaded someday.
